About Us

 My story: Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.  My family started out at local shows, going on to 4-H shows and open shows and then showing POAs in the SDPOAC for several years when I was young.  Then when I started to outgrow my POAs, I moved up to AQHA horses.  I've always trained my own show horses (with the help of my Mom when I was younger) and I take a lot of pride in riding horses that I started and trained.  I truly enjoy working with horses on a daily basis. I have since taken a huge interest in the genetics, bloodlines and proven crosses of the American Quarter Horse. I am always trying to learn more and always trying to improve the genetic make-up of our program. I put a lot of thought and research into selecting the stallions we will cross with our mares.

Kolousek Farms is located outside of Wessington Springs, South Dakota.  I strive to produce the quality of horses that anyone would be proud to take into the show ring and beyond.  I currently have quality horses that I am offering for sale.  You can be assured that any horse that is offered for sale from our farm is tame, quiet, friendly, and has excellent ground manners.  I strive to be completely honest about any horse, because I would expect honesty when I am the buyer.  Plus, I want my horses to be placed in a home that is best suited for them, too.  Please contact us about any horse that is for sale.
